CT: Question about the Goodnight, Moon letterbox

From: meadow77lark (meadow77lark@yahoo.com) | Date: 2003-07-13 00:15:30 UTC
Has anyone found the Goodnight, Moon letterbox in Mansfield, CT
lately? I tried to find it today, but was unsuccessful. Is there
major bushwacking involved? I wasn't in the mood for bushwacking
too much with all the mosquitos and deer flies... I was pretty sure
I was at the right Boundry Line marker (maybe there's more than
one?), and I found what I thought was a woodpecker's delight, but no
sign of a letterbox. Should I have bushwacked farther into the
woods?

I have not visited Goodnight Moon since Jan. However, I could
picture overgrowth making it more of a bushwack hike. Hopefully,
someone will have updated info. for you. It's stamp is cute!

Was the box a long way off the dirt road?
